You are sitting at home in Munich, Vienna or Zurich, the ring is hidden in your sock drawer, and in four weeks you fly to Croatia. The plan is clear: a proposal by the sea, at sunset. The questions are just as clear. Which beach? When exactly does the sun go down? Where do you get flowers, and how do you carry cushions and glasses to the beach without anyone noticing? This is exactly where we come in.
Why a proposal abroad is harder than it looks
At home you would know the right place. On holiday you arrive with a suitcase, a few days' time and a partner who is by your side almost every minute. There is no chance to secretly scout beaches, no car full of cushions and candles, and often not a word of Croatian. On top of that come the wind, the sunset times and the question of whether your spot will be taken by other holidaymakers that very evening.
That is why most couples we work with get in touch while they are still at home. We live in Primošten, know every cove and take on everything that is hard to organise from a distance.
What we organise for you on site
- Location and timing: We suggest two or three spots with photos and tell you when the light is best. In September that is around 6:30 pm, in June around 8:15 pm.
- Decoration: Blanket, cushions, lanterns, candles in glass, flowers in vases and a small tray – in the colours you choose.
- Flowers and sparkling wine: On request a bouquet from a local florist and a chilled bottle, alcohol-free if you prefer.
- Setup and guarding: We set everything up shortly before you arrive and stay nearby so nobody sits down on your blanket.
- Plan B: If the bura blows or it rains, we know sheltered coves or move the evening together with you.
- Photos: Discreetly from a distance during the proposal, followed by a relaxed couple session in the golden light.
- Clearing up: After the photos we pack everything up. You simply walk on – to dinner, for example, where we are happy to recommend a restaurant.
What is left for you to do
Only three things: bring the ring, find your words, and walk with your partner to the right place at the right time. We send you a map pin and the exact time on WhatsApp beforehand. If you are delayed, a short message is enough – we will light the candles a little later.
Your proposal day, step by step
- Weeks before: A short video call or a few messages. We clarify style, colours, location and your cover story.
- The day before: We check the weather and wind together and confirm the plan, or switch to plan B.
- In the afternoon: We buy the flowers, chill the sparkling wine and set up the decoration.
- 30 minutes before sunset: You set off for your walk. We are already in position, with long lenses and looking like holidaymakers.
- The moment: You do the talking. We take the pictures you will look at for the rest of your lives.
- Afterwards: A toast, a short couple session, and then you are free. We take care of the rest.
- The next day: A few first photos to share with family and friends. Your full gallery follows a little later.
Small details that make a big difference
- Colours that match the sunset: Blush, terracotta and gold look warm and natural in the evening light. Bright white decoration often looks cold in photos.
- Candles in glass: On the coast there is almost always a breeze. Candles in lanterns or bottles keep burning, and open flames are not allowed on the beach anyway.
- Cushions and a thick blanket: The pebbles are hard. After the yes you will want to sit down, and a dress survives it better too.
- A bouquet to hold: It gives her hands something to do in the photos and becomes a beautiful memento afterwards.
- Keep it small: The sea and the sunset are the real decoration. A few carefully chosen pieces look more personal than a whole event set.
